Шильдик (model/serial tag, rating plate, data plate) — наклейка или металлическая табличка. На ней:
• Model number (MOD) — например WTW5000DW1 или WF45R6100AW/US. Важна каждая буква и цифра, включая суффикс в конце (-1, 0, 2, /US, /A3): разные ревизии одной модели могут иметь разные платы, насосы и моторы.
• Serial number (SER, S/N) — индивидуальный номер; по нему определяют дату производства и гарантию, иногда — ревизию детали.
• Электрические данные: напряжение, частота, ток или мощность (например, 120 V 60 Hz 10 A; у электросушилки 240/208 V, ~5400/4050 W).
• Иногда — тип газа (natural gas / LP) у газовых сушилок, дата производства (MFD), код завода.
Правило: на каждом вызове сфотографируй шильдик и запиши модель целиком в карточку клиента. Модель, которую диктует клиент по памяти или с коробки, часто не та.
The data tag (model/serial tag, rating plate) is a sticker or metal plate. On it:
• Model number (MOD), for example WTW5000DW1 or WF45R6100AW/US. Every character counts, including the suffix (-1, 0, 2, /US, /A3): revisions of the same model can have different boards, pumps and motors.
• Serial number (SER, S/N): unique to the unit; it gives the build date and warranty status, sometimes the part revision.
• Electrical data: voltage, frequency, amps or watts (for example 120 V 60 Hz 10 A; an electric dryer shows 240/208 V and roughly 5400/4050 W).
• Sometimes the gas type (natural gas / LP) on gas dryers, a manufacture date (MFD) and a plant code.
Rule: photograph the tag on every call and record the full model in the customer card. A model the customer recites from memory or from the box is often wrong.

Если наклейка стёрлась — модель иногда есть на tech sheet внутри машины, на заводской наклейке на баке или плате, либо в приложении бренда (SmartThings, ThinQ).
Typical locations (verify on the actual machine; they vary even within a brand):
• Whirlpool, Maytag, Whirlpool-built Kenmore, Amana, Roper top-loaders: under the lid on the rear edge of the tub ring or cabinet, or on the back of the console; older ones on the rear panel or low on a side.
• Whirlpool/Maytag front-loaders (Duet, Maxima): on the door opening frame or behind the filter/kick-panel door.
• GE top-loaders: under the lid, on the rear of the cabinet or on the underside of the lid; GE front-loaders on the door frame.
• Samsung front-loaders: on the inside of the door opening (frame) or on the back; Samsung top-loaders on the back of the console or the rear of the cabinet.
• LG front-loaders: a silver label on the front panel behind the door (visible with the door open); LG top-loaders on the back or the right side.
• Speed Queen: on the rear of the cabinet or under the lid.
If the label is worn off, the model sometimes appears on the tech sheet inside the machine, on a factory sticker on the tub or board, or in the brand app (SmartThings, ThinQ).

- У газовых сушилок на шильдике указан тип газа и давление на входе.
Подсказка: у многих брендов буква в модели показывает тип нагрева — E/G у Whirlpool (WED/WGD), Maytag (MED/MGD), Samsung (DVE/DVG), LG (DLE/DLG); GE — GTD…E/GTD…G и т. п.
- Most dryers (Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG): open the door; the label is on the door opening frame (top, side or bottom).
- Older top-lint-filter Whirlpool/Kenmore: sometimes on the rear panel or on the top near the lint filter.
- Samsung: in the door opening or on the back; models like DVE45R6100W/A3 (E = electric) and DVG… (G = gas).
- LG: on the frame behind the door, sometimes on a side panel; DLEX… (E = electric) and DLGX… (G = gas).
- Gas dryers list the gas type and inlet pressure on the tag.
Tip: on many brands a letter in the model tells you the heat type: E/G on Whirlpool (WED/WGD), Maytag (MED/MGD), Samsung (DVE/DVG), LG (DLE/DLG); GE uses names like GTD…E / GTD…G.

For Whirlpool-built units from 2010 on, the serial reads like this (per AppliancePartsPros, checked by their technical specialist):
• 1st (sometimes 1st–2nd) letter: plant/division (for example C = Clyde, Ohio, the washer plant).
• Next character = year: 0=2010, 1=2011 … 9=2019, X=2020, A=2021, B=2022, C=2023, D=2024, E=2025, F=2026.
• Next two digits = week of the year (01 early January, 24 mid-June, 41 mid-October).
• The rest is a sequence number.
Example: a serial starting CA24… means Clyde, 2021, week 24, about mid-June 2021.
Caveats: pre-2010 units use a different scheme; X also appeared on some 2010 units, so sanity-check against the machine's look and the purchase date. For warranty or recall questions, confirm the date with the manufacturer using model and serial.

For GE (GE Appliances, Hotpoint) the first two letters of the serial: the first is the month, the second is the year (per AppliancePartsPros).
Months: A Jan, D Feb, F Mar, G Apr, H May, L Jun, M Jul, R Aug, S Sep, T Oct, V Nov, Z Dec.
Years (12-year cycle): A 2001/2013/2025, D 2002/2014/2026, F 2003/2015, G 2004/2016, H 2005/2017, L 2006/2018, M 2007/2019, R 2008/2020, S 2009/2021, T 2010/2022, V 2011/2023, Z 2000/2012/2024.
Example: AS… means January 2009 or 2021. Pick the year from the machine's look (touch panel or Wi-Fi suggests newer), the manual date or the receipt.
If it doesn't add up, check the chart against a machine of known age: sources contradict each other in places.

• сверь с поддержкой Samsung или поиском детали на сайтах поставщиков по модели+серийнику.
LG: серийник обычно 12 символов, первые три — цифры: 1-я цифра — последняя цифра года, 2-я и 3-я — месяц (01–12). Пример: 912… → декабрь 2019 (или 2009). Десятилетие в номере не закодировано — определяй по модели. Многие наклейки LG тоже содержат напечатанную дату производства.
Для мастера точный месяц важен редко; важно понять «машине 3 года или 13» — это влияет на гарантию, доступность деталей и на то, стоит ли чинить.
Samsung: on a 15-character serial, the 8th character is the year and the 9th is the month; on an 11-character serial, the 4th and 5th. Months usually run 1–9, then A, B, C (October to December). Year-letter charts contradict each other between sources (letters repeat in cycles), so:
• first look for a printed date on the tag (MFD / Manufactured / DATE); Samsung often prints one;
• confirm with Samsung support or with a supplier parts lookup using model plus serial.
LG: the serial is usually 12 characters, the first three digits: digit 1 = last digit of the year, digits 2–3 = month (01–12). Example: 912… means December 2019 (or 2009). The decade is not encoded, so judge it from the model. Many LG labels also print the build date.
A tech rarely needs the exact month; what matters is whether the machine is 3 or 13 years old. That drives warranty, parts availability and whether the repair is worth it.

- 0 (ноль) и O (буква), 1 и I, 5 и S, 8 и B — частые ошибки. Сфотографируй и увеличь.

- Kenmore: модель вида 110.2xxxxxxx — первые три цифры показывают, кто сделал: 110 — Whirlpool, 417 — Frigidaire (Electrolux), 796 — LG (ориентир, сверяй по каталогу поставщика).
- Сервисные (service/manufacturing) номера бывают отдельно от маркетинговых — например, на некоторых наклейках есть Model и Service Model. Запчасти ищи по сервисной модели.
- Не путай модель с номером детали (наклейки на плате, моторе, насосе — это part number).
- 0 (zero) vs O, 1 vs I, 5 vs S, 8 vs B are common misreads. Take a photo and zoom in.
- The revision suffix is mandatory: WTW5000DW0 and WTW5000DW1 can use different parts. On Samsung, the part after the slash is the market/revision (/A3, /AA).
- Kenmore: models like 110.2xxxxxxx; the first three digits tell you who built it: 110 Whirlpool, 417 Frigidaire (Electrolux), 796 LG (a guideline; confirm in the supplier catalog).
- Service/manufacturing numbers sometimes differ from marketing numbers: some tags show both Model and Service Model. Look parts up by the service model.
- Don't confuse the model with a part number (stickers on the board, motor or pump are part numbers).
