Use this guide to replace the air dome in your LG WM3050CW Washing Machine. The air dome helps regulate the water level inside the tub. If the dome is cracked, your washer may overflow.

Step 1

Before you begin your repair, perform the following:
Turn off the main water supply
Unplug your washer
Disconnect all water connections at the rear of your washer

Unfasten the rear panel

Use a Phillips driver to remove the four 10.7 mm‑long screws securing the rear panel.

Remove the rear panel

Lift the rear panel upward to release its bottom clips.
Pull the rear panel away from the chassis to release the remaining clips.

Step 4

Remove the rear panel.

Disconnect the air dome

Pull the air dome hose straight up to disconnect it.

Unfasten the air dome

Use a Phillips driver to remove the two 16.5 mm‑long screws securing the air dome.

Step 7

Use slip joint pliers to pinch the air dome hose clamp and pull it over the dome itself.

Remove the air dome

Pull the air dome straight off its hose to remove it.
During reassembly, make sure the air dome nub is aligned properly with its slot in the hose.
